Its bundled encoders and Av1an are years out of date. For an AV1 GUI on Linux see [Aviator](/tools/utilities/aviator/); on Windows, [Auto-Boost Av1an Portable](/tools/utilities/auto-boost-av1an/) is a maintained one-click Av1an bundle.\n## Install and use\n\nDownload the 7z archive from the [releases page](https://github.com/n00mkrad/nmkoder/releases), extract it anywhere and run the executable. It needs 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and .NET Framework 4.7.2.\n\nDrag files onto the window, then work through the tabs:\n\n- **File List** and **Track List**: choose inputs and which tracks to keep, in what order, with language and title.\n- **Quick Convert**: encode or copy each stream type with FFmpeg, with resizing, cropping and trimming.\n- **AV1AN**: set up an Av1an encode (encoder, workers, quality).\n- **Utilities**: bitrate plots, quality metrics, concatenation and copying colour/HDR metadata between files.\n\nPress **Start** when the job is configured.\n"
